Supervisor – Onsite Services

Due to dynamic advancement which leads to continued growth we are looking for a Supervisor for our Onsite Services Department.

The Role:

You will be working in the day to day planning and execution of onsite projects and short duration onsite jobs according to programmed deadlines and keeping within budget. This will require coordinating the efforts of other team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects to meet our customer’s requirements. As a Supervisor you will convert the Onsite Service Project team’s plan into the work activity and will manage the onsite requirements for resourcing, quality control and daily reporting, along with being the person to:

• Direct and manage the on the job work required to undertake and complete the job or project.


• Working with the project managers and Onsite Services Manager to determine the best mix of site personnel for each job, along with coordinating / managing the tooling & equipment required for the job.


• Keep track of all the day labour bookings through the onsite timesheet process and ensure materials used on the job are transacted correctly.


• Through daily toolbox meetings onsite and other methods, ensure the site crew know what they are required to do and in what time frame; at all times ensuring they are working in a safe manner.


• Manage the customer’s expectations, knowing that many onsite service jobs are carried out on a breakdown basis.

Key responsibilities / accountabilities are as follows:

• Contribute to the on-time delivery and be within budget for all site jobs under your control.


• Ensure site jobs and other projects are carried out to Hofmann standards of quality control.


• Ensure detailed and quality records are established and kept through reporting daily events and reporting on job progress against the plan.


• Manage the site crews on each project such that they are an effective team.


• Manage and contribute the way we work, to ensure a culture of Safety and Health.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• To be a trade qualified Fitter / Machinist or Fabricator .


• 3 years direct work experience in the capacity of supervisor, including all aspects of personnel management in an onsite environment, or have worked on site crews for at least 5 years and can demonstrate the ability to be a supervisor.


• Computer Literate with Microsoft Office products, in particular Microsoft Project.


• A full understanding of mine site shutdown requirements inclusive of those pertaining to safety.


• A Full Understanding of Onsite fitting Methodology.
